It allows you to personalize your digital planner with photos and stickers.

If you’re new, you might wonder:
“Where do I insert photos?” or “How do I add downloaded PNG stickers?”
Here are two easy methods anyone can try.

Method 1. Add with the Image Tool

From the top menu, tap the ‘Image Tool’.
Choose:
- ‘From Photos’ → insert from the Photos app
- ‘From Files’ → insert PNG stickers or image files
Tap the image, and it will be instantly added to your page.
Tap the image again → ‘Crop’ → Freehand / Rectangle to trim only the part you need.
Resize, move, and rotate freely.

Method 2. Drag and Drop

Swipe up from the bottom of the iPad screen to open the App Dock.
Place the Photos or Files app above GoodNotes.
Drag the image directly into your GoodNotes page.
Resize and move as needed.
From the ‘···’ menu, use Front / Back to adjust the layer order.

With just these two methods, you can quickly decorate your planner with photos or stickers.

How to Import Files into GoodNotes

When you download a digital planner or notebook, the file often comes in a ZIP format. To use it in GoodNotes, you need to unzip and import it properly. In this guide, I’ll explain two simple methods to import files into GoodNotes.

Method 1: Unzip and Import via GoodNotes

Open the Files app on your iPad.
Tap the ZIP file to unzip it.
Open GoodNotes, tap plus(+) → Import, and select the PDF file.
Your planner is now ready to use in GoodNotes.

Method 2: Open with Share Option

In the Files app, press and hold the PDF file.
Tap Share from the menu.
Select GoodNotes from the app list.
The file will open directly in GoodNotes.

Tips for Beginners

Always unzip files before importing them into GoodNotes.
Once imported, you can write, highlight, and decorate your planner with stickers.
GoodNotes supports PDF and image formats (JPG/PNG).
